| Getting tired of looking at our happy faces holding mahimahi.
Well too bad! We are NOT getting tired of catching them. It
was a bit blustery on the way to Beqa, so there were some waves. For
whatever reason, mahimahi love to bite in those conditions!
This was great, because we had fresh fish to share with the village. |

We spent most of our time at Naiseuseu village. |
We met Moses immediately and with in minutes of coming ashore he invited us to dinner at his house the next night.
The next day there was big doings in the village as they prepared to perform a kava ceremony and meke for the nearby tourists. They started with a very formal kava ceremony.
The meke the women did was a sitting dance.
The men did a sitting dance and there was a funny solo number.
Kevin worked on several weed whackers and a TV or 2. This of course, made him quite popular.
After church on Sunday we were invited to Vilimaina's house for lunch.
A peaceful post lunch scene.
The reef at Yanuca is so healthy that it sticks it's head up at low tide...all beautiful, live coral.
